Thom Sequoia - Song Lyrics

Song:  Nothing In Particular

Nothing In Particular
© Words & Music By Thom Sequoia

* Thanks to my sister Dr. Kathie Kratochvil, without whose real life front porch in the Santa Cruz mountains, and all the animals and nature on her property and in the area, came the inspiration for this song

Verse 1

Cat on a porch swing, bird on a wire
Owl not giving a hoot,
Stones in a circle, wood on the fire,
Nothing in particular, just you.

Verse 2

Fog on a mountain, trees in a forest,
Full moon persuading the tide,
Beam in a lighthouse, stars in a chorus,
You and I moving through time

Chorus

And nothing in particular, is how I really feel,
When you’re touching beautiful, love is something real,
And motion is the poetry, casting out our lines,
But reeling in the breath of you, is closer than divine

Verse 3

Monarchs descending, lamp in a window,
Wildflowers covered with dew,
Whale in a harbor, sand sifting sea shells,
Nothing in particular, just you

Chorus

And nothing in particular, is how I really feel,
When you’re seeing beautiful, love is something real,
And motion is the poetry, casting out these lives
But reeling in the touch of you, is something quite divine

Reprise

Cat on a porch swing, bird on a wire
Owl not giving a hoot,
Stones in a circle, wood on the fire,
Nothing in particular, just you.
