
ABOUT THOM SEQUOIA

Thom Sequoia Kratochvil has been involved in the music industry for over 30 years, and was born with the soul of a musician and a creator... pretty much since birth. Music, Songwriting, and Entrepreneurship are his passions.
He is an award winning Songwriter and Composer, and a lifelong musician, and plays the guitar, piano, ukelele, percussion, and dabbles on other instruments, and has toured nationally as an acoustic performer as well as composed original sound tracks for video games and theatrical productions.
As a Singer-Songwriter, his music straddles: acoustic, pop rock, folk rock, alternative, country, folk, and americana.
As a video game composer, his styles vary widely between classic RPG, classical/orchestral, and world and folk genres. He has released a 50 song OST for the indie RPG video game "Echoes Of Aeons".

Thom is the Founder and CEO of Music Revolution Media, LLC. and has been developing the ideas behind Music Revolution Media to support Independent artists & bands in live performance and marketing in the digital age of streaming.
Thom is also the CEO and Founder of Acoustihouse Productions, a live event company that has organized and produced over 125 concert series and festival events in the last 30 years, and helped hundreds of bands and artists to perform live and get paid fairly.

Thom was the Executive Director and Regional Manager (Utah & Texas) of the first Yamaha Music School flagship franchise in the USA from 2020 - 2024, and helped to create the Yamaha Youth Performance Team program. The school won a "best of state award", and was featured on KSL TV (NBC), KUTV (CBS), and Fox News TV, where Thom performed with an original featured song

Thom Sequoia was awarded 2nd place in the Wasatch Mountain Music Festival songwriting competition for the original songs "Down On Thunder Road" and "To The Winter" during his performance in Heber Valley, Utah (Near Park City). The Festival since re-branded as Tedfest.
As a Singer / Songwriter, Thom Sequoia has toured the Mountain and Pacific West, USA, and several states in the east, and also wrote the country song "Little Hands". The song was recorded by the Hughes Brothers and featured on two album releases, was nominated in Branson, MO, as original song of the year, and has been performed on stage every week for the last 20 years as part of the Hughes Brothers Theatre Shows. (Originally the Roy Clark Jr. Theatre).
As a song included in the show, the show has won more than 12 different top show of the year awards through the last 20 years. (Brammy Awards - Live Music Show Of The Year / Branson Show Awards - Best Show / Best Of Branson Awards / Terry Music Awards - Show Of The Year / Song Of Hope Award)



Thom has been a featured "Guest Performer" for such notable organizations as:
* The West Coast Songwriters association at the historic Freight & Salvage venue in Berkely, CA,
* Songwriters Association of Washington in Herndon, Virginia
* The California Arts Council (state of CA)
* The Art City Music Fest in Springville, UT
He has also been a songwriting workshop presenter at numerous songwriter events, and a host at multiple city festival music stages
As a teenager he was also the winner of the "Soundsaround" best new rock band rock radio contest with his band Electric Shock, in the greater San Fransisco Bay Area

Shane Jackman, Top 40 Americana charting artist, and Thom Sequoia were close friends. Thom and Shane shared the concert stage many times over the last 25 years, and Thom was a co-writer on the song “Simply Put” on the Sanctuary album. Thom wrote the harmony parts for the song while in studio with Shane during the recording sessions.
Thom also sang back up vocals on the album, along with Cherie Call, and Greg Simpson, on the song “Raise My Eyes”. Shane had intended to be a featured guest artist on Thom's album, but sadly passed away recently.


Thom co-wrote the song “No More Living For Tomorrow” with Kemari Rawlings, from Kemari Rawlings & The Red Dirt Band. The song was recorded in Nashville with producer and guitarist Rod Riley.
Rod Riley is a guitarist and producer based in Nashville, Tennessee, known for his unique blend of country, rock, and Americana. Rod has performed with legendary artists including Dolly Parton, Vince Gill (Eagles), and LeAnn Rimes, and has toured the United States and Europe with Nashville artists such as Shawn Camp, Joe Nichols, Ricky Van Shelton, Vern Gosdin, Tanya Tucker, and Jeff Bates.

Thom is the Original Music Soundtrack composer of the Indie Video Game: Echoes Of Aeons. and is currently in pre-production of the sequel: Echoes Of The Stars, which has been featured recently on Steamfest and received over 12,000 wishlists, and will release in 2027. EOTS will be released on multiple platforms and premier on Steam.
EOA was released exclusively for IOS devices and featured on the Apple App store, and garnered several new release Awards in 2020, including:

Thom composed the 5 song original soundtrack of the theatre stage production for the play “Together At Last”, which was selected by jury from hundreds of submissions across America for the 8 tens @ 8 Festival performance at the Santa Cruz County Actors Theatre in the San Francisco Bay Area, CA.

Somewhere back in the day, when Thom was taking a poetry class in college, his classmate Sean Zeibarth, aka Sean Boy Walton, aka Sean Thumb, invited Thom to become a partner, along with Brian Freeman, to start a radio station on AM960, KOVO.
Sean had been editor for the infamous "Student Review' newspaper, an underground subversion for college students in Provo/Orem, UT.
Sean had just started working at the new X96 KXRK (which was the sister station to AM960), as the music director, along with Bill, Cary, and Gina, the morning show Dj's. Brian had been working on KBER, rock radio.
Together they formed The Student Underground Network, a mix of Alternative rock, Indie rock, and various sub-genres. Thom was the VP of Marketing & Sales, and also hosted as DJ & Producer several shows like: Sunday Folk, Eye On The Arts, The New Aging Thing & All That Jazz, and Sounds Of Sunday, The rest is history. So they say... ish. Kinda sorta... Maybe...For sure!
